Acceptance for admission for international students to òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ is at the discretion of the PDSO (Principal Designated School Official) and/or DSO (Designated School Official.)

Application and Required Documents

An international student is defined as a student applying for admission at the college to attend on an F-1 non-immigrant student visa. Every International Student requirement must be submitted. A COMPLETE packet of required documents must be scanned and emailed to the Director of Admissions/PDSO, Britni Tremblay, at international@cloud.edu. In the subject line of the email, you must include your full name and anticipated semester and year of attendance. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

International students are not eligible for admission to the following terms/semesters:

  • Summer term
  • Winter term
  • Second sessions of the Fall or Spring semesters
Admission and Submission Deadlines:
Fall (August) start date: All documents must be submitted by June 15
Spring (January) start date: All documents must be submitted by November 15
Requirements for Admission:
  1. Complete the .
  2. Submit a copy of current passport.
  3. International students who complete high school outside the United States need to submit verification of high school completion through a transcript evaluation from , , or another member of the . Students are responsible for evaluation fees. The  Evaluation Company is our recommended international transcript evaluation service. They have created a custom application for òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate. You can access their application .
  4. Submit official test scores from one of the following tests, demonstrating proficiency in both oral and written use of the English language. Minimum score requirements are as follows:
    • TOEFL test: a score of 61 (iBT)
    • IELTS Academic: a score of 6.0
    • Duolingo English Test: a score of 95
    • Exemption: Students from a country with English as an official language, may submit a letter from their school administrator indicating that English was used for the majority of the school’s instruction and curriculum. If the primary and secondary instruction was not English, only an English language proficiency score will be accepted. Students exempt from proficiency scores must still take an Accuplacer test upon arrival for placement into ESL, English, and/or Math courses.
  5. Submit a completed International Student Sponsor Affidavit Form, signed by a financial sponsor (usually a parent or legal guardian). Without signatures from you and your sponsors, your application cannot be processed. Note: If there are multiple account holders on your bank statement, please submit one affidavit from each of the account holders.
  6. An original statement/letter from your bank or other financial institution. The name of the person on the bank statement should match the name of the person identified on the Student Sponsor Affidavit Form.
    • The bank statement/letter must be in English. If the bank statement/letter is not in English, please provide a certified English translation of the document. Your funds must be from a checking, savings, or certificate of deposit account. Note: We do not accept funds such as stocks, investments, retirement, etc.
    • The statement/letter must contain the date, name of account holder(s), and states that there is funding available in the amount of at least $15,060 USD.
    • Bank statement/letter is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
    • The statement/letter must also be signed and stamped by a bank official at the financial institution.

To be considered for admission, all required documents must be submitted by June 15 for the fall (August) semester and November 15 for the spring (January) semester.

Acceptance Packet

After the steps above are completed, the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and/or the Designated School Official (DSO) will review the contents and make a decision regarding your admission to Cloud. Please allow up to 14 business days for processing time once all documents have been submitted.

If the decision is favorable, an acceptance packet will be created. The acceptance packet will include your I-20 form (the I-20 is an official document required by the United State Department of Homeland Security to confirm your ability to study in the United States), official letter of acceptance, International Student Health Insurance brochure, and the International Pre-Arrival Checklist.

You will be contacted via email when your acceptance packet is ready for shipment. òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ provides an express mailing service called that allows you to receive your documents from Cloud using FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Shipping of the acceptance packet is done at the expense of the student.

US Embassy Appointment

Once you receive your acceptance packet you are ready to pay the and schedule your interview appointment at the nearest . It is important to know that visa appointment wait times vary by country. Visit  to see your estimated appointment wait time.

Arrival in the US

It is your responsibility to keep us informed about your status in the process of obtaining your visa and arrival in the United States. Once you have obtained your F-1 visa email the Director of Admissions/PDSO, Britni Tremblay, at international@cloud.edu so we can help you plan for arrival. At a minimum, students should arrive 3-5 working days prior to classes starting date. Students can arrive up to one month prior to classes starting date. This date is indicated by "Earliest Admission Date" on your I-20. 

Upon your arrival to campus, you will need to check in with the Director of Admissions/PDSO, Britni Tremblay, in the Office of Admissions. When checking in, make sure to bring your I-20, passport/visa, I-94 record, and your local address while at Cloud.

At a minimum, students should arrive 3-5 working days prior to classes starting date. Students can arrive up to one month prior to classes starting date. This date is indicated by "Earliest Admission Date" on your I-20. You must communicate your arrival information with the Director of Admissions/PDSO, Britni Tremblay.
