Federal Work Study Program

The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program is an employment opportunity from which the student may gain valuable work experience while in school. FWS provides part-time jobs for undergraduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work, considers students’ skills, and interests, and makes student academic success a priority.

A student will normally be employed for one academic year (August through May), when the college is open, and classes are in session. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to be eligible for the Fall/Spring semester or a minimum of three (3) hours to be eligible to work in the summer as well as be enrolled in the subsequent Fall semester.

To be considered for the Federal Work Study Program, the student must have completed the FAFSA prior to submitting an application.

Federal Work Study Opportunities

CCCC offers a variety of Federal Work Study positions that are located on campus as well as off campus within the local community.  A student’s work schedule is based around their class schedule and students may work up to 15 hours per week during Fall/Spring semesters and up to 25 hours per week during the Summer.

The current rate of pay is $8 per hour.
