Josh Urban came to òòò½ÎÑÊÓƵ in August of 2015 as a biological sciences instructor. Beginning as an adjunct instructor at our Geary County campus, he is now in his second year teaching full time at Cloud, where he teaches primarily Human Anatomy and Physiology. Josh also oversees the human cadaver laboratory here at Cloud, teaching human body dissection, as well as providing tours to local and regional high school students from around Kansas.
Josh graduated with his Associates of Science in biology from òòò½ÎÑÊÓƵ in 2005, where he participated in theater and Great Society. He then received his Bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Kansas Wesleyan University, where he participated in choir, debate, and forensics. He completed his M.S. in Entomology in 2010, during which he was awarded a National Science Foundation graduate student training fellowship that allowed him to teach in the Junction City High School as a visiting scientist. Josh is currently completing his doctoral studies at Kansas State University, conducting research into tick salivary gland physiology.
Josh grew up in Concordia and was delighted to return to the area to pursue his passion for teaching science. During his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, basketball, softball, golf, and playing with his children.
