The Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award will be presented to Dallas and Lisa Hasenbank.

Dallas, a 1983 graduate of Cloud, went on to earn degrees in Journalism/Mass Communications and Marketing from Kansas State University. He built a career spanning more than 40 years in the newspaper industry, as well as in marketing and sales. His professional journey took him to Dallas, Texas; Kansas City; and Kearney, Nebraska, where he gained extensive experience before ultimately returning to Cloud County.

After relocating back to the area, Lisa followed her passion for healthcare. In 1995, she enrolled at Cloud and earned her Registered Nurse (RN) degree. Over the course of her career, she served in a variety of nursing roles, dedicating herself to patient care until her recent retirement from the profession.

Today, Dallas is the owner and operator of Geisler Roofing & Home Improvement. Lisa now devotes her time to caring for their grandchildren and managing the family’s rental and Airbnb properties.

Together, Dallas and Lisa have built a life centered on family and community. They are the parents of four adult children—Sara Hake, Tyler, Austin, and Trent—and proud grandparents to nine grandchildren. They enjoy attending òòò½ÎÑÊÓƵ and Kansas State athletic events, supporting their grandchildren’s activities, remodeling homes, and spending time with their growing family.

The student speaker at graduation will be Jarell Yardin, Concordia campus Student Senate president. Clare McCain, president of the Upsilon Tau Chapter of PTK on the Concordia campus and Tiffany Loeffler, Beta Eta Xi Chapter president of the Geary County PTK chapter, will introduce the Faculty of the Year award winner.
